Writing Test Format
Academic Writing
- Task 1: Describe visual information (graph, table, chart, diagram) in your own words
- Task 2: Write an essay in response to a point of view, argument, or problem
- Task 2 is worth twice as many marks as Task 1
General Training Writing
- Task 1: Write a letter requesting information or explaining a situation
- Task 2: Write an essay in response to a point of view, argument, or problem
- Task 2 is worth twice as many marks as Task 1
